Solar Power
Solar power is generated through different methods, all involving the sun. The energy for these methods may come from its heat or its illumination. Each of this has its particular popular method. The first is through the use of photovoltaics, the second though thermal energy plants.
Photovoltaic solar power has been converted from light into electricity. The term, "photovoltaic" comes from two words: photo and volt. Photo refers to the light, while volt refers to the resulting electricity. Solar panels are the means through which sunlight is converted to useful electrical power.
Solar power plants make use of the heat from the sun. They also result in the creation of electricity. While photovoltaic panels directly create electricity, power plants do it through an indirect method. They use the sun's heat to generate steam. This in turn gets a power generator going.
